Prussia, Kingdom. An Order of St. John, Type II, Knight of Honour Cross c. 1917 Auction Archive with a belt loop above(Ritterorden St. Johannis vom Spital zu Jerusalem Kreuz der Ehrenritter). Instituted 15 October 1852 by King Friedrich Wilhelm IV. (1852 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with white enameled arms, each joined through the quadrants by blackened Prussian imperial eagles executed in exceptional detail, the twelve oclock arm topped by a pebbled fan suspension perforated with an eyelet, the latter
