A Minesweeper War Badge consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac 1918 while at Ashford(Kriegsabzeichen fr Minensuch , U Boot Jagd und Sicherungsverbnde). Constructed of gilded and silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a central depiction of a sea mine exploding, the reverse with a block hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 44. 40 mm (w) x 54. 70 mm (h),
