A 1920'S French Fai Pilot's Badge Auction Iron Cross First Class 1939A 1920's French FAI (Federation Aeronautique Internationale) Pilot's Badge In Sterling silver and blue enamel, with horizontal pin with drop in swivel catch, 63x31mm, marked on reverse bottom BBCO STER, excellent quality, in extremely fine condition, circa 1920 1930s. Scarce. Footnote: The FAI was founded in 1905 in France by several countries who recognized a need for a society to oversee the new advances in flight that were then taking place.
